Round Table of ICU Practicing Physicians for Lifelong Education (Virtual Event)

Thursday, June 3, 2021, 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. EST

Registration is FREE for CCCS members

Our goal is to to provide a safe and collegial environment where ICU practicing physicians can discuss openly and reflect on complex and challenging cases with peers and experts.

Session topics

1) Mechanical ventilation in COVID-19 patients

2) Management of anticoagulation in the ICU

3) Continuous renal replacement therapy

Participants will receive three cases a week prior to the event, each including open questions probing their approach to very practical clinical issues. Participants will be asked to write down their answers to the questions ahead of the session. During the session, 60 minutes will be dedicated to each case. After briefly reviewing the case, participants will be divided in smaller groups to discuss their answers with their peers (20 minutes), and then will re-join the larger group for more discussion with the topic expert, who will present their approach to the case and answer audience questions (40 minutes).
