MECHANICAL VENTILATION WORKSHOP

About the Mechanical Ventilation Workshop

A half-day small group “Update on Principles and Practice of Mechanical Ventilation” workshop on June 7, 2024, is available to trainees registered in a Canadian critical care training program as well as practicing intensivists and respiratory therapists. Participants will be able to choose from a selection of workshop topics to best suit their learning goals. Space is limited so be sure to register early.

Accreditation

This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

This activity was approved by the Canadian Society of Internal Medicine for a maximum of 4.75 hours.

Through an agreement between the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert Royal College MOC credits to AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Information on the process to convert Royal College MOC credits to AMA credits can be found at www.ama-assn.org/go/internationalcme.

Through an agreement between the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners, healthcare practitioners participating in the QCHP CME/CPD program may record MOC Section 1 credits as QCHP Category 1 credits.

Through an agreement between the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the European Board for Accreditation in Cardiology, Royal College MOC Section 1 credits are deemed to be substantively equivalent to EBAC CPD credits.

Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Cancellation Policy 

Cancellations will only be accepted on or before May 22, 2024. Please note there is a 10% administration fee applied to all cancellations. No credits or refunds will be given for cancellations received after May 22, 2024.

About the Association

The Canadian Critical Care Society (CCCS) is the National Specialty Society, representing Adult and Paediatric Critical Care Medicine physicians in Canada. The practice of Critical Care Medicine in Canada is multidisciplinary and CCCS members hold base specialty certification in anaesthesia, medicine, paediatrics, emergency medicine or surgery and some surgical subspecialties such as cardiac surgery and neurosurgery.
