[June 16, 2026 Update] In light of the recent Ebola outbreak in Central and East Africa, many hospitals are reviewing their policies and protocols for managing this disease. In 2014, CCCS partnered with the Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians (CAEP) and the Association of Medical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases Canada  (AMMI Canada) to produce an Ebola Care guide. While this guide still has value as a general overview, it is over 10 years old.  Given the urgent nature of the outbreak and resources and time required for a full revision to meet current guideline standards, CCCS will not undertake a revision of the 2014 document. Updated guidance from the WHO, is a more up-to-date source of information. While CCCS has not been invited to endorse the guideline, we provide you with these links which may be useful to CCCS members when reviewing their hospital policy and protocols for the management of ebola virus disease.
