The Canadian Critical Care Society (CCCS) Distinguished Lecturer Award (DLA) recognizes an individual who has made an outstanding, sustained, and nationally or internationally impactful contribution to critical care in Canada. The award honours excellence across the full spectrum of critical care scholarship, practice, and service, and celebrates leaders whose work has advanced patient care, education, research, quality improvement, and the profession as a whole.

The awardee will be recognized at the annual Canadian Critical Care Forum (CCCF), where they will deliver a Distinguished Lecture as part of the scientific program.

Nomination Process:

1. Review the DLA Terms of Reference

2. Complete the DLA Nomination Form

3. Submit the completed nomination form and all supporting documents to cccs@secretariatcentral.com. A receipt of acknowledgement will be provided to you.

About the Association

The Canadian Critical Care Society (CCCS) is the National Specialty Society, representing Adult and Paediatric Critical Care Medicine physicians in Canada. The practice of Critical Care Medicine in Canada is multidisciplinary and CCCS members hold base specialty certification in anaesthesia, medicine, paediatrics, emergency medicine or surgery and some surgical subspecialties such as cardiac surgery and neurosurgery.
